What is Lap Siding?

Lap siding is a standard option for most homes with siding.  It consists of a long narrow board with one edge thicker than the other that overlap.  Our LP SmartSide product line features a variety of different styles for any home exterior needs.  It is available in 16-foot lengths that enable your home to have fewer seams.  Smartside siding is all natural wood that has been treated to give it unique strength and durability for natures harsh conditions.  It has also gone through the SmartGuard manufacturing process which will keep fungal decay and termites away.
